2024 Elite American Little

Hello darlings, it's me Evie!

I am almost a sassy seven-year-old!  I live with my mommy and daddy in Summersville, WV, about 15 minutes from the famous New River Gorge National Park.  I have a little sister named Penelope but we call her Poppy, Popstar and Pops-a-lot.  First grade didn't know what hit them this year, I love school and I have had straight A's all year!  Reading is my favorite subject in school, I now try to read road signs wherever we drive.   My mom says my giggle can make anyone smile. My favorite extracurricular activities are gymnastics, twirling, soccer and cheerleading. This past year I even convinced my mom to coach cheer, maybe I have a law degree in my future because my mom says I am very persuasive.  My favorite vacation destination is the beach but I prefer to stay in the pool as much as possible! I have my own community service platform that is called "Evie J wants to Cake Your Day".  With the help of my mom, I  construct birthday cake kits and we deliver them to regional food pantries so that everyone has the opportunity to have a birthday cake.  This unique idea was inspired by a previous community service trip to a local food pantry and mission.  It was there that I grasped the concept that not everyone has easy access to food.  My mom says I am a deep thinker, so after she explained what food pantries provide to the community I was silent for most of our trip home.  At some point I ask my mom "what about birthday cakes?"  Thus, "Evie J wants to Cake Your Day" was born.

I am so grateful for the title of 2024 Elite American Little and so excited for the year ahead. So excited I can't stop smiling! I cannot wait for what the next year has in store for us.  I say us because let's be honest Mom is along for the ride.
